I created a video recap of the 5 major things I learned while starting seeds indoors for my spring 2025 garden. I really wanted to document this process because it’s fairly new for me. I’ve only done it once before a few years ago.

It didn’t work out so well that first time around because most of my seedlings got damping off disease. I have a MAJOR overwatering problem that I am finally starting to get a handle on.

This time around, things are going better but I am still learning. And sharing it all with you – the good, the bad, and the ugly.

5 Things I Learned About Starting Seeds Indoors For Spring 2025

Things I learned about starting seeds indoors
  1. Use amended potting mix NOT soil
  2. Good air flow is essential
  3. Group plants based on watering needs
  4. Plant seeds in 4″ containers or cups to avoid potting up multiple times
  5. Know the needs of your seeds
